Theodor Hilber
I am a GIS specialist and development researcher working at the intersection of spatial analysis, geodata infrastructure, and international development. My work combines methodological research with hands-on implementation of operational GIS systems, with a strong focus on building spatial approaches that make complex social, environmental, and economic dynamics visible and actionable.
I hold a master’s degree in geographic development studies and have worked across academic research, international organisations, public agencies, and private-sector consulting and capacity building. A defining thread throughout my work is the use of GIS not only as a technical tool, but as a way to reveal hidden risks, inequalities, and patterns that are often missed by conventional, non-spatial approaches.
